Such a thought was difficult for the Omaxians to believe in however, as they were trained thoroughly to understand that they were most assuredly the most advanced life forms on the planet Omaxis.

The Human Chancellor directed the  educational systems across the entire globe of Omaxis to teach these “truths” to the people and ensure that they understood that while they were not as powerful as the supreme Human Chancellor, they were still the most powerful and intelligent creatures alive.

Omaxians held many glorious ceremonies.  Of these ceremonies, weddings were certainly at the top of the list for the most spectacular events imaginable. Omaxians never neglected to hire wedding photographers to document these events, nor did they forget about ensuring that the brides wore the most spectacular wedding dresses possible.

Glorious banquets were held where massive quantities of food were actually placed around the walls of large banquet halls, where they set up industrial shelves to hold the tremendous amount of food provided to the large group of guests.  Typically entire cities and villages attended each  and every wedding.

There were many prosperous businesses and industries that flourished across the planet of Omaxis.  These businesses included insurance companies, window insulation companies for the regal homes the Omaxians lived in, SEO companies for the Internet that was as fast as lightning for providing advertising and as a communication tool tying the entire globe together as a unified group.

On this bountiful planet where the flowers bloom at night, there was a great deal of artistic beauty all around.  Writers, scientists, musicians and many different types of intellectuals were treated as Gods, only secondary to the Human Chancellor, whose reign was never challenged, merely because of the peace experienced by all Omaxians on a daily basis without fail.

Except for in the small area of the planet which was listed as restricted.  This was where the side of Omaxis that could never be revealed to the populace reared its ugly head.  This was where the experiments were held. This was where the rebels resided and were treated as chattle for what the Human Chancellor considered to be…the greater good….

Flowers didn’t bloom in this area of the planet….at least, not the kind of flowers that anyone would wish to ever encounter….not even at night….

Fallen, forlorn folk were always taken in by the Human Chancellor. Forgetting all that he had done to them in the past, they followed him blindly like sheep lead to the slaughter in a time of great need for civilization as a whole.

Left without a leader, the human race had little to decipher in terms of reason and historical knowledge.

All their books had been destroyed during the great re-education of the previous leader and all of the oppression that mankind suffered had made them easy prey for the soft-voiced chancellor to take over when his troops defeated the leader who had put them through great pains in his re-education process.

Now with very little memory of that which came before their intensive oppression, the people only yearned for hope and answers. The Human Chancellor gave these to them and helped them to begin rebuilding their lives at the very least as farm-hands to their own land and in lives where there was no longer any pillaging that people knew of.

No one was aware of the great factories that held the thousands of slaves who had been faithful to the previous leader. All they knew was that during their times of need, the new leader had provided for them.

Certainly, there were certain rules and restrictions. No one was allowed to leave their basic areas of land, but they were contented to at least be experiencing peace in their restricted areas, to have food in their bellies and warm places to sleep and raise their children and animals in harmony.

Recent forms of technology to create ease for their lives were non-existent, but they didn’t realize this anymore.

Before the previous leader had destroyed all that was new, their society had been advanced with stud welding technology, photography studios, industrial shelving companies, writers and artists, automobiles and flying machines and so much, much more.

Now, however, all of that was forgotten with the turn of the new century and their forefathers were not around to disclose any historical information to these people.

Yes, it was an easy takeover for the Human Chancellor and he reveled in his successes.

When he visited the villages of his people, he dressed very modestly and held the hands of little children as he walked through the people’s lands and smiled at them approvingly. He enjoyed the lavish banquets of home grown and cooked foods that they served him and the lack of confrontation or threat of battle was a great relief to all.

His remarkable ability to make the females swoon, while receiving instant trust from the men whom he looked firmly into the eyes of in a show of respect, was evident when he would speak to them and enjoy their allegiance displayed across their faces and manifested in their behaviors.

When asked about what would happen to them all whenever the Human Chancellor’s day of passing came, his only response was, “My dear fellow men, women and children…Have no fear! I am too old to die!”

His words always seemed to have a dizzying effect upon them and what they wished for more than anything was for everything to remain as it currently was and to never re-enter the dark times of the past, so they all simply refused to spend much time thinking outside of their current state.

However, perhaps there is some genius behind the words themselves.

Do we not, in some ways, already create our own realities? Who would not like to have power over their own mind in such a way that their reality could be exactly as they wished it to be, included in that their abilities in the external world, coinciding with such desires?

Each of us only has so much space in our conscious minds. Perhaps if we were to exclude from our memory banks everything that we did not want to recall, we might in fact, be haunted by those items in our subconscious and buried mental storehouse that we attempted to deny. Our reality base might become so skewed that it could harmfully affect our day to day lives.

However, it is also possible that since we do only have so much that we can actually think upon at one time in one moment, that it is pure genius to live in such a way as to refuse to think of or remember anything that did not fit in with our picture of life and what we wanted.

The fact is that if we were all consumed by the thoughts and memories that pleased us then our focus in life would be much more likely to take us in the direction of pursuing the goals and dreams that were actually in line with who we truly were and are and what we earnestly wanted to become.

Is a man who decides to shelter himself from other realities so that he is best able to focus his energies upon accomplishing the tasks that are involved in the life that he actually wants, any worse than the many who will spend their entire lives in drudgery, never knowing happiness or contentment because they feel that they have no choice but to focus on all that is not what they truly want?

Of course, there is some doubt as to the true capacity for learning and growth, which would be involved in the process of a life that is centered entirely upon the beliefs and which only acknowledges that which is seemingly pleasant to the individual himself.

Additionally, much debate could be made regarding whether or not this sort of lifestyle and perspective would be harmful to any kind of a unified world, wherein human beings help one another and mutually benefit.

Of course the contrasting idea might be that the positive energy emanating from such thought-based lives could actually change the world as everyone in the world all worked together in happiness because they were all pursuing that which they knew they wanted out of life.

The Human Chancellor asked himself only one question every day. Does this feel right to me and how can I go about making it better and more in line with everything that I so passionately love?

Was he a control freak as a result? Of course he was! He was the Human Chancellor!
